We believe strongly that the power of Refresh will be magnified by sharing it in community with other women.
This material can be used in a small or large group setting. Here are a few suggestions to enhance your group experience:
Each of the ten different stories in Refresh can be read individually or collectively.
If you use Refresh within a group, the stories are short enough to read out loud during group time. You could have one person read the whole story to the group or have group members take turns reading a few paragraphs at a time.
The application tools are really meant to be done outside of group time, however you may want to choose some specific ones to do together in the group.

For Group Leaders

We recommend one Refreshment story per group meeting.
We have found that an hour-and-a-half meeting time (or longer) works well with the Refresh material. At the same time, we encourage you to let God guide the process and not limit yourself to one story a week. Women may connect certain sections in a powerful way and you may want to spend additional time praying and sharing over that particular topic.
Please know we would love to support you in any way we can, so please don’t hesitate to email or call if you need a little input on how to make your large or small group experience all you hope it to be.
Please don’t feel like you have to use all five tools for every story.
Experiment with what is most effective for you and/or your group. Point of Connection is the launching point for the main theme but you can utilize various exercises from Digging Deeper and Tryin’ It to accentuate each theme.
Mix It Up will really help you as a group leader!
This section at the end of each chapter includes group-related exercises that will help you facilitate this material in either a large or small group. Ideas are provided to help participants connect experientially. Several ideas are included with each story so you have several to choose from.
Multiply It is a set of group discussion questions so you don’t have to worry about trying to come up with your own. This will help you process the material together and provide a guide for the discussion.
